About
a mental health professional with extensive experience supporting adults, both individually and in couples and marital relationships.
Valeriia is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and has received additional training in a number of specialized therapeutic approaches. Committed to lifelong learning, she continues to expand her knowledge and skills through ongoing education.
Valeriia provides psychotherapy by integrating evidence-based approaches with relational and existential perspectives, offering personalized and clinically responsible care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Her primary therapeutic approaches include structured, research-supported methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, combined with depth-oriented modalities including Gestalt Therapy and Existential Therapy.
Clients seek support from Valeriia for both immediate symptom relief and deeper psychological exploration. Sessions can support those experiencing emotional distress, as well as those looking to better understand and work through longstanding relationship patterns, identity concerns, and major life transitions.
Having immigrated to Canada following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Valeriia’s lived experience has deepened her understanding of trauma, loss, adaptation, identity shifts, and resilience.
Clients often describe Valeriia as warm and empathetic, while also being structured, goal-oriented, and focused on measurable progress.
Sessions are available in Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
