About
a mental health professional with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting children, teens, parents, couples, and adults through emotional, behavioural, developmental, and relationship challenges.
Iryna is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, formally recognized in Canada, and has completed extensive additional training in Systemic Family Therapy, neuropsychology, child psychotherapy, and behavioural and developmental work with children.
Her approach is warm, systemic, and evidence-informed, with a strong focus on understanding each client within the context of their relationships, family dynamics, and life circumstances. Depending on individual needs, sessions may include Systemic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, play therapy, art therapy, neurodevelopmental practices, and the Gottman Method for couples.
Iryna works extensively with children and adolescents, including those with autism (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, and other neurodevelopmental differences. She also supports parents through coaching and psychoeducation, helping families strengthen communication, build more predictable routines, and create a calmer home environment.
Having moved to Canada from Ukraine after the start of the war, Iryna brings a personal understanding of immigration, adaptation, and rebuilding life through major change. Outside of counselling, she is a mother of two, supports charitable initiatives for Ukrainian families, leads a women’s book club, practices yoga as a certified yoga teacher, and enjoys watercolor painting.
Sessions are available in Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
